Gambia: Jambanjelly, Tujereng Advance to Kombo South District Tourney Quarterfinals

Jambanjelly and Tujereng are through to the quarterfinals in the Kombo South District Football Tournament after winning their final group games played at the Farato and Jambanjelly football fields respectively at the weekend.

Jambanjelly made it to the quarterfinal after a convincing 2-0 win over Mamuda in group B game played at the Farato Football Field.

The win has put Jambanjelly on top of group B with 7 points in three games as well as maintaining their unbeaten run in the tournament.

Tujereng sailed to the quarterfinal following their 2-1 victory over Farato in group B encounter played at the Jambanjelly Football Field on the same day. The win has earned Tujereng a 2nd spot in group B with 5 points in three games.

Farato are 3rd in group B with 3 points in three games, while Mamuda finished bottom place in group B with a single point in three outings and are automatically off the tournament.
