Egypt: Al-Azhar Imam Urges Voting in Constitution Referendum

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb stressed the importance of active participation in the second round of the referendum on Egypt's draft constitution to bring an end to the current critical situation Egypt is going through.
Speaking at a meeting with French Ambassador to Egypt Nicolas Galey on Wednesday 19/12/2012, el-Tayyeb voiced full confidence in the ability of the Egyptian people to overcome this crisis.
Galey said that France and EU countries are closely following the latest developments in Egypt. The diplomat hailed as distinguished the role al-Azhar played in building the renaissance of Egypt.
