As the year 2012 comes to an end, The Liberia National Police has finally set record by its excellent performance under the leadership of police Director col. Chris Massaquoi . The LNP was awarded on Tuesday Dec, 18 at the headquarters by the Strategy Journalist Committee. During the awarding ceremony, the chairperson of the committee Mr. Ruldosan Fayah said the honor of the police director and the deputy director of police for operation does not base on favor but it is due to their high work over the year.
"I must first congratulate the LNP for the professional way of which they Handel the recent Nov, 7 issue when CDCians gather together in remembering of their partisan who lost their lives last year.
It was a strong believed of many Liberians that the day was going to be another historical day negatively that all Liberians could remember. But with the good leadership and excellent performance of the LNP, the day was successful the group chairperson said.
He contained by saying, the second thing is the constant arrest of Armed Robber in the country that is also helping to reduce the criminal rate. The group also notes that there are no leadership crises within the LNP. The group awarded Col. Chris Massaquio Man of the year 2012.
While the Deputy Director of police for operation Col. AB Korma who serves at the receiving end of the police director was also awarded Law Enforcer of the year 2012 for his corporation with his boss Chris Massaquio.
In respond to the award given for both the police director and his self Col. AB Korma says, the investigation done by the Strategy Journalist Committee was done after a very good investigation. The LNP deserve it he added. Let me promised on behaf of my boss who is not yet present, and the LNP family that with all challenges the LNP is facing, we will work high to make this season peaceful for the people.
Meanwhile the president of Liberia H.E madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was the first to award the LNP for their good performers. The president on Saturday Dec, 15 Award the LNP with 50,000 Liberian Dollars.
