Kenya: Nairobi Water Ends the Year in Style

Water is life. That's why the guys who ensure that we get it deserve thumbs up for work well done despite of a few shortages. Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company had every reason to party at the College of Insurance Grounds, South C last Friday afternoon.

Radio Africa Group CEO Patrick Quarcoo, who was the chief guest hailed the company staff as heroes and heroines. "You are a phenomenon because you have made a difference in this city. You have done a fantastic work of giving us the water. That's why we celebrate you."

Saying that water is as expensive as fuel, he urged the company to do beyond their own expectations. The Board chairman, Peter Kuguru urged the staff to make sure all revenue is collected and water meters are read accurately.

The event was emceed by comedians Dan Ndambuki aka Churchil and Eric Omondi and entertained by various choirs including NCWSC and Sarakasi dancers who gave a lively performance.
