The shilling held steady against the dollar today and traders say the local currency is expected to maintain the trend in the coming days due to slowing market activity ahead of the Christmas holidays.
Banks quoted the shilling at 86.00/10 to the dollar, barely changed from yesterday's close of 86.05/15.
