Cabinet has today passed the The Supplementary Budget No. 1 of 2012-2013, which recommended an additional 60.2 billion shillings for recurrent expenditure and 13 billion shillings for development expenditure.
It will be spent on the payment of health workers, lecturers and police officers following negotiations and the return to work formula. In its last meeting before the Christmas break Cabinet also asked striking nurses to return to work.
