Eritrea: Citizens Satisfied With Health Service

Hagaz — The inhabitants of Ashera Administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, voiced satisfaction with the commendable service being rendered by the health station there.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Abrehet Gebru and Mr. Hamd Tedla explained that VCT and community sensitization services are also being given by the health personnel in the locality, and that reliable attention is given to maternity and pediatric cases. An ambulance is adequately serving such special care.

Ms. Rozina Eyob, head of the health station, further elucidated that the villages of Seqar, Seber-Bejukh, Shaftakh, Andelai, Qerot-Nejar and Qush are in a position to overcome morbidity of various communicable diseases on the basis of community-based environmental hygiene. She further pointed out that community health representatives are playing significant role in endeavors to combat malaria, the morbidity of which has visibly declined.
