Angola: President of Republic Guarantees Support to Jiu-Jitsu Sport

Luanda — The President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, on Thursday here guaranteed support for the development of the Jiu-Jitsu sport, which is practiced in the country, since 2001, without any institutional support.

This was said by the world champion of this sports, Walter Ruben Faustino, after an audience granted by the Head of State, to whom he handed over the medal that he won in the international championship of this sports, held in April this year, in Abu Dabi.

"On behalf of Jiu-Jitsu, Brazilan version in Angola, I came to inform the President of the Republic, on the work already done towards the development of this sport in the country and wish him a Merry Christmas", he said.

He said that the managing board and the federation of this sport are in restructuring phase.
