Angola: 2012 Considered Year of Democracy Strengthening

Dundo — The first provincial secretary of MPLA party in the eastern Lunda-Norte province, Ernesto Muangala, on Wednesday said here that the boosting of democracy, peace consolidation and national reconciliation are the main challenge throughout 2012.

The politician said so to Angop when speaking to militants in the year-end greeting ceremony.

He added that with the holding of the 2012 general elections, won by MPLA and its presidential candidate, José Eduardo dos Santos, it leads the country towards the reconstruction of a democratic, fair and peaceful society.

"With a deep feeling of satisfaction, we consider that 2012 was a good year for MPLA provincial committee in Lunda-Norte", he said.
