Tunisia: Hotel Giant Expands

Accor, the world's leading hotel operator, plans to strengthen its presence in Tunisia by building some 25 new properties, La Presse reported on Wednesday (December 19th).

"The prospects for co-operation between Tunisia and the hotel group are promising," Accor co-founder Gérard Pélisson said Tuesday after meeting with Tourism Minister Elyes Fakhfakh.

Tunisia could become the most popular tourist destination in the Mediterranean basin, the Accor executive said.
