Ghana: Unichem Unveils New Energy Drink

Unichem Ghana limited, a subsidiary of Unichem Group, which markets and distributes pharmaceutical products worldwide, has unveiled the newest energy drink, M-150 in the country.

M-150 is an energy drink, with 70 percent market share globally. It also has in stock of 95 per cent retail outlets as at 2011.

The newly launched energy drink comes in bottles and cans, typically with a red star-badge emblem as its logo, with the words 'sacrifice', 'courage', and 'devotion' encircling a bold yellow 'M'.

As part of the M-150 launching onto the Ghanaian market, Unichem Ghana Limited hosted an exciting M-150 Azonto dance competition for its dear friends, public and valued customers, which took place at its Headquarters in North Industrial Area, Accra.

The event was a lively affair and the contestants were in excellent spirit whiles the audiences kept on their feet throughout the show.

After 3 rounds, the judges were left with 5 final contestants, which saw Ms. Anita Pobee of Palace Pharmacy named M-150 Azonto champion 2012. She was given the M-150 Trophy and other goodies.

The other winners were, Dorothy Avor , Francis Aboagye, Sheila of Paramedical and Ebenezer Acquah of Septal Chemists.

Speaking at the launch of the product, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Raj, observed that the launching of the M-150 was an opportunity in sharing and bonding with the distributors and also educating them on the importance of promoting the product to the general public.

"M-150 may contain caffeine, but a very safe amount (just 70 mg) with the average recommended daily allowance being 300 mg", he added.

The CEO used the occasion to advice the general public to enjoy life by being physical, emotional and mentally fit to enjoy life whiles adding M-150 to their daily routines during the day.

"If the body is weak it is not powered up. So a lot of the nation's such as India, United Kingdom, America and Europe consumes a lot of caffeine as part of their diet. M-150 contains natural caffeine which gives you a kick to the body for the rest of the day", he added.

Mr. Raj said the M-150 is highly concentrated product which is a general tonic drink with sugar, and should not be prescribed for diabetic patients, but in diabetic, we do have typo high tension which in such a conditions one needs M-150 to have a quick pick up in life.
