Zimbabwe: Pearl Properties Assists Hospitals

Eleven mission hospitals from throughout Zimbabwe have received medical equipment and medical supplies from Pearl Properties worth over US$17 000. The items include stretcher beds, walkers, crutches, gowns and gloves.

The donation is in line with the company's social responsibility objectives which are aligned to selected Millennium Development Goals where efforts are targeted towards poverty and hunger eradication as well as health improvement.

Pearl Properties general manager Mr Christopher Manyowa said the health services sector in Zimbabwe has been severely affected in the last 15 years due to economic challenges and more was needed to resuscitate this vital sector.

Speaking at the same occasion, the executive director for the Zimbabwe Association of Church-Related Hospitals, Ms Vuyelwa Sidile-Chitimbire, expressed gratitude to Pearl Properties for their generosity.

The hospitals which benefited from this donation are Mashoko Christian Hospital, Chidamoyo Christian Hospital, Manama Mission Hospital, Pumula Mission Hospital, Mbuma Mission Hospital, Karanda Mission Hospital, Morgenster Mission Hospitals, St Mary's Mission Hospital, Nhowe Mission Hospital, Newlands Clinic and Silveira Mission Hospital.
