Kenya: President Releases 6700 Prisoners

Inmates at the Meru Prison, which was built to accommodate 350 but now has more than 1,450 prisoners.

It is an early Christmas for 6700 prisoners that have been released by president Kibaki. They include among others petty offenders, as well as those aged 65 years and terminally ill.
