Nigeria: Hospitalised Ijaw Leader Mourns Azazi

The Coordinator of Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG) Comrade Joseph Evah currently receiving treatment in Dubai hospital has paid tribute to the late former National Security Adviser, General Owoye Azazi.

Speaking from Dubai hospital, the former Publicity Secretary of Ijaw National Congress (INC) who campaigned rigorously against the removal of Azazi as National Security Adviser because of Boko Haram bombing before he was eventually removed by President Goodluck Jonathan called on International Aviation experts under a global body to probe the accident.

According to Evah "I'm a very sad man today and I know this tragedy has plunged Niger Delta into mourning. There are no words to express the sadness of this unthinkable tragedy. This news is just awful and unbearable at festival period like this. How best can I describe this calamity. It is Niger Delta horrific christmas gift."
