Ilorin — The former acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, has enjoined Nigerians irrespective of ethnic or religious affiliations to live together in peace, joy and harmony in the spirit of Christmas festivity.
Baraje, in his Christmas message, urged Nigerians to continue to promote Nigeria's unity and guide against utterances or behaviours that could cause chaos.
While saying the unity of Nigeria as an entity cannot be sacrificed on the altar of sentiments, he wished all Nigerians a blissful and peaceful Christmas celebration.
He pleaded with the citizens to embark on progressive programmes that would make Nigeria's march towards nationhood realized within a short period.
He said no nation is immuned to economic and security challenges, stressing that Nigeria is currently overcoming her challenges and is optimistic that the country would come out stronger and more united.
He called on clergymen to continue to pray for the leaders and the followers.
