Caxito — The handicraftsman Isidro Semedo Massoxi defended on Thursday in Caxito city, northern Bengo province, the creation of a handmade fair in the region so as to facilitate the trading of the works of local creators.
This was said to Angop by the artist, Isidro Semedo Massoxi.
According to him, the creation of the fair will encourage artists of the province that currently face a lot of difficulties to sell their works.
Isidro Semedo Massoxi complained about the little support given to craftsmen in the manufacturing of their work and he underlined the importance of the plastic arts in the preservation of the national culture.
He said that the handmade works is a profitable Job, but in Bengo province the market is not favourable, which obliges the craftsmen to look for new venues to sell their works.
