Massawa — Residents of the port city of Massawa expressed satisfaction with the quality service being rendered by the Maternity and Pediatric center in Amatere area. They further indicated that community sensitization service by the Center has made visible impact as regards raising community awareness about various health issues.

Among the mothers who delivered recently at the Center, Ms. Seida Osman and Ms. Fatina Idris expressed appreciation to the health personnel's commitment to the career, and said that the awareness of mothers regarding maternity issues is on the rise in line with reinforcement of antenatal care. Mr. Mohammed-Shifa Osman on his part commended the health center's input regarding improvement of mother and child health.

Mr. Semere Berhe, head of the Center, pointed out that it has adequate equipment and facilities.
