Tanzania: Lugalo Open Golf Tourney Postponed

THE annual Lugalo Open golf tournament which was scheduled for this month has been pushed to January next year at the Lugalo golf course in Dar es Salaam.

Tanzania Golf Union (TGU) Administrative Officer, Sophie Nyanjera said the event has been pushed back for lack of sponsorship. She said the event which count in the 2012 order of merit will now tee off at the same venue on January 25 and 26.

The 36-hole event will give chance to golfers to acquire points for the order of merit which will be used to pick this year's best golfers. She said the event will be open to men, ladies as well as young golfers. Nyanjera said they have issued forms to various clubs so that interested golfers could register.
