Eritrea: Fruits and Vegetables Farmers in Demas Administrative Area Strive to Boost Production

Ginda — Fruits and vegetables farmers in Demas Administrative areas, Ginda sub-zone, said that they would strive to boost production on the basis of integrated endeavors and exchange of experience.

Among the farmers, Mr. Yosef Kidane, Mr. Zerai Tewolde, Mr. Habtemichael Tewolde and Mr. Mohammed-Omar Idris explained that the area is endowed with various merits suitable for irrigation farming, and that they would step up efforts to introduce extensive irrigation farming techniques.

There exists 500 hectare-wide irrigated farm in the locality which is owned by more than 60 farmers.
