Eritrea: Social Service Facilities in Ashera Administrative Area Making Visible Impact in Improving People's Livelihood

Hagaz — The inhabitants of Ashera Administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, said that they are in a position to witness improvement of livelihood following the putting in place of various social service facilities.

They further explained that they used to rely on Keren and Hagaz urban centers for such services, and that they could presently save time and energy in this regard.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Ahmed Gebru, Mr. Firezgi Tesfamichael and Mr. Mehari Medhanie indicated that they have become beneficiaries of electricity supply, transport, education, health and other services.

Mr. Gergis Abraha, Administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that the availability of preschool has remarkably facilitated the teaching-learning process, and that considerable accomplishment has been registered as regards preservation of indigenous trees. Moreover, he called on the inhabitants to ensure sustainability of the available social services through prudent utilization.
