Luanda — The Minister of Science and Technology, Maria Cândida Teixeira, highlighted on Friday in Luanda the promotion of partnerships among the national institutions of higher education, scientific research and technological development with foreign instutions of the sector in 2012.
The official said so to the staff of her ministry during the year-end greetings ceremony.
She said that the sector will continue to work with Germany, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia, aiming to establish the centre for scientific research and services for climate and soil changes of the southern Africa region.
The minister said that the promotion and monitoring of actions that aim to create in Angola a centre of excellence in geo-science for the sustainability of Africa by Agostinho Neto University, in partnership with New Castle University and Earth Planet Institute, based in London (England).
