Caxito — Migration and Foreigners Services (SME) in the northern Bengo province control 1,758 foreigners under an illegal situation, informed on Saturday the provincial delegate of this Home Affairs Ministry's institution, Firmino Candeias.
According to the official, from the disclosed number of foreigners, 208 are in the country as exiled, 50 as residents and 1,500 with a status of expatriates in this region of the country.
Concerning SME's operation in Bengo, Firmino Candeias considered it as good, in spite of the difficulties, having stressed the detention and repatriation of 1,200 foreigners in 2012, due to illegal entry into the province.
He praised the collaboration of the population in reporting migration offenses and stressed that the combat to illegal imigration should be a joint task, having strengthened the appeal to citizens in this sense.
