Zimbabwe: Mafero Mafero Host Tourney

MAFERO MAFERO, one of the top social football clubs in Harare, will be hosting their annual year-end four-team tournament tomorrow at Alex Sports Club in Harare. The aim of the tournament is to bring together social clubs and celebrate the spirit of Christmas and the coming New Year. The participating teams are Mafero Mafero (hosts), Mupanda, Blacksheep and Roots. The draw will be conducted today at 5pm at Alex by the Mafero Mafero president, Kenny Nzou.

The semi-finals will start at 1pm and the final and the third-place play-off be played at 3pm. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, the matches will be decided by a penalty shootout.

"There are lots of prizes to be won and the Mafero Nafero awards ceremony will be in the evening after the final," Spencer Manguwa, a representative of the club said.

"Mafero Nafero will give out the following awards - Soccer Star, Most Improved Player and the Most Disciplined Player.
