Angola: President Determines Updating of Strategic Coordination Technical Commission

Luanda — The President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, determined on Friday the updating of the Technical Commission to Support the Council of Strategic Coordination for Territorial, Economic and Social Development of Luanda.

According to an official source, the commission will now be coordinated by the State Minister and Head of the President's Civil Office, Edeltrudes Costa and it also integrates the Secretaries of State for Local Administration, Planning for Public Investment, Land Transports and Construction.

The President's Aide for Social Affairs, Vice governor of for Technical and Infrastructural Matters, CEOs of Sonangol, E.P. and Eduardo dos Santos Foundation (FESA) and director of Luanda sanitation Technical Unit also integrate the referred commission.

The commission is entitled to prepare, monitor and inspect the deliberations of the Strategic Coordination Council above mentioned, ensure the harmonization, coordination and integration within the public investments of various administrations; monitor and secure the compatibility between the private and public initiatives in the province.

The commission reports their activities to the President of the Republic and Head of the Executive, through a quarterly report that must include a balance on fulfillment and unfulfilment, achieved results and measures considered necessary.
