Egypt: HEC - Second Phase of Constitutional Referendum Going On Smoothly

The Higher Elections Commission (HEC) said Saturday 22/12/2012 that all polling stations in the 17 governorates that host the second phase of the constitutional referendum are operating smoothly.

The Commission pointed out that all eligible voters will cast their ballots in the polling station in which their names are registered to prevent any voter to cast his/her vote in more than a polling station.

It added that the use of phosphoric ink represents an additional guarantee to avoid repetition of voting in several polling stations.

The Commission stressed that it will announce the final official results of the referendum two days after the end of the voting process.
