Egypt: Azhar Urges Egyptians to Protect Mosques

Al-Azhar called on Egyptians to distance mosques from the current political turmoil in the country.
In a statement issued on Friday 21/12/2012, Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed el-Tayyeb appealed to all citizens to keep an eye on the nation's higher interests so that security and stability can be brought about.
He called on the people to listen to reason to overcome the current crisis.
