Egypt: Army Troops Deploy in 17 Governorates Ahead of Referendum Vote

Military troops have deployed inside balloting stations in 17 governorates where 25.495 million eligible voters are expected to have their say on a proposed constitution on Saturday.

The Armed Forces are working with the Interior Ministry to secure the vote in the governorates of Giza, Qalyoubiya, Menufiya, Fayyoum, Beni Sweif, Menia, Ismailia, Damietta, Port Said, Suez, the Red Sea, Mersa Matrouh, Behaira, Kafr el-Sheikh, Qena, Luxor and the New Valley.
