Nigeria: Maritime Institute, Eight Firms Sign Deal - CEO

Lagos — Polaris Maritime Institute, a merchant navy academy, says it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with eight shipping companies to enable its cadets get practical knowledge on boarding vessels.

Chief Executive Officer of the institute, Captain Banjo Daniel Akintunde who made this known at the outing ceremony for graduating cadets recently in Ogun state, said "our cadets who graduated in June this year are currently on board various ships undergoing practical experience."
