Egypt: Red Sea Results - 62 Percent With the Constitution, 37 Percent Against It

Final ballot results show that in Red Sea 62.6 percent (44, 094 people) have voted for the new draft constitution while 37.4 percent (26, 301) have voted against it.

The second round of the referendum on Egypt's new constitution took place on Saturday, December 22, whereas the first round took place last Saturday.

The preliminary results of the two-stage referendum show that the majority of Egyptians agree to the controversial charter that was written by an Islamist-dominated assembly.
