Egypt: Nation's Bourse Gains EGP 13.2 Billion

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed the week's trading with gains up to EGP 13.2 billion thanks to the purchases of leading stocks on the market.

The EGX 30 benchmark index closed at 5,443 points, recording an increase of 5.42 percent.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 5.26 percent, reaching 488 points.

The overall EGX 100 index increased 4.27 percent to close at 810 points.
