Algeria: Saadane Considered for Iraq Coach

Former Algeria coach Rabah Saadane was approached by Iraqi football federation officials to replace Arthur Antunes Coimbra, better known as Zico, at the helm of the national team for the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers, APS reported on Saturday (December 22nd).

Diego Maradona, Swedish coach Sven Goran Eriksson, and Français Philippe Troussier are also candidates for the post, but according to agency Aswat al-Iraq, the local federation is likely to opt for an Arab coach.
