Egypt: Morsi Endorses Shura Council Appointed Members

President Mohamed Morsi approved a list of members to be appointed in the Shura Council late Thursday.

If the constitution gets a yes vote, the upper house of parliament will take up the legislative authority until a parliament is elected.

The sweeping majority of members appointed in the Shura Council are politically neutral. The list contains union heads, chieftains and public figures, sources at the presidency said.
