Luanda — The Angolan Executive intends to regularise next year the situation of religious denominations that have not yet been legally recognised by the authorities , said last Sunday in Luanda the secretary of State for Culture, Cornélio Calei.
Speaking to the press, on the fringe of an assessment visit her paid to the Universal Evangelic Church of the First-borns, Cornélio Calei stressed that this is a priority issue, which the Culture Ministry will tackle 2013.
"One of the main goals of the Culture Ministry for next year is that those churches that have not yet been recognised by the Executive may have their situation regularised, so as to avoid some sort of anarchy", he explained.
The government official highlighted that the Culture Ministry has been interacting with the churches.
In his opinion, the Church, besides working in the social field, plays an important role in the spiritual domain, and this aspect is the basis of any person's character.
