Egypt: Prime Minister Praises Participation of All Voters in Referendum

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil on Sunday 23/12/2012 thanked the Egyptian voters who were keen to cast their votes in the referendum on the draft constitution, saying the high turnout reflected strong sense of responsibility on their part.

He praised the civilized behavior of the voters in the first and second phases of the voting and the great role played by the judges, the Armed Forces and the police to render the process successful.

He also called on all the political powers to join in establishing the state's aspired democratic institutions and voiced belief that the coming term would be that of construction and development which requires the participation and help of each and everyone in the society for the sake of a better future for the homeland.
