The King of Rwenzururu survived a car accident which claimed his chef.

The Chef of Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma died in an accident that occurred at about 11.00 a.m. near Mityana town along the Kampala-Fort Portal High way on December 23.2012 as his convoy was heading to Kasese from Kampala.

The Chef identified as Jetrace Kabugho died on the spot when the car she was traveling in got involved in the accident.

Three other people were critically injured and were rushed to a Hospital in Mityana town, the Obusinga spokesperson, Patrick Nyamunungu confirmed to New Vision.

The Omusinga was retrurning from Kenya on a private visit.

"I can not tell you more than that because I have not been at the scene" Nyamunungu said.

"But the royal family and others who were traveling in other vehicles survived the accident," he said.
