Angola: Cyprus President Wants to Strengthen Relations

Nicosia — Cyprus President, Demetris Christafias, has expressed here the desire of constructing and boosting the relations between his country and Angola at various levels, Angop has learnt.

He said so when speaking at the swearing ceremony of the diplomat Isabel Feijó, as the Angolan ambassador to that European country.

Demetris Christafias also said that the two countries share a set of common historic experiences and keep a strong desire of helping to build and boots the relations for the mutual benefit.

He acknowledged that the geographical distance does not enable the development of the bilateral and co-operation change.

In addition, the President said that the nomination of the first Angolan representative there, the framework offers a new opportunity for the revival and possible reinforcement of the co-operation.
