Egypt: Fahmi Receives Qandil

Shura Council Speaker Ahmed Fahmi met on Monday 24/12/2012 with Prime Minister Hisham Qandil at his office in the Upper House of Parliament.

The meeting discussed the priorities of legislative issues that can pave the road for stability to achieve development and national restoration.

Shura Council will hold its meeting on Wednesday 26/12/2012 to suspend the 32nd session according to the Presidential Decree No. 434 for the year 2012.

Fahmi will also call the Shura Council to convene its 33rd session according to the Presidential Decree No. 435 for the year 2012.

The Shura Council will exercise temporarily the legislation role until electing a new People's Assembly.

Meanwhile, Fahmi inspected reception committees which receive the council's appointed members to finalize their membership procedures.

The committees received 70 members, so far, from a total number of 90 appointed recently by a presidential decree.
