Egypt: Sheikh of Al-Azhar Affirms Importance of National Reconciliation

Sheikh of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed el-Tayyeb has underlined the importance of reaching a comprehensive national reconciliation.

In a statement on Tuesday 25/12/2012 after the announcement of the results of referendum on Egypt's draft constitution, el-Tayyeb urged all Egyptians to join hands in order to build the country and complete building its national and constitutional institutions.

Al-Azhar Imam affirmed the necessity to work for building the Egyptian economy, which was greatly affected by the political turmoil in the country.
