Algeria: Nation 'Willing to Offer Tunisia Expertise and Experience to Fight Terrorism' - Interior Minister

Bardo — "Algeria will spare no effort to fight terrorism and eradicate the sources of tension, and is willing to make its expertise and experience available to face this phenomenon, Algeria's Interior Minister Dahou Azouane Ould Kablia asserted, on Tuesday.

"We have perceived in Tunisia a real will to strengthen its relations with Algeria," the Algerian Minister pointed out during his meeting with National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar.

In this regard, he spoke about the development projects planned in border regions, notably in the water resources, road infrastructure and energy fields.

"Tunisia needs to consolidate its relations with Algeria in security and development fields and make the most of its experience in fight against terrorism," Mr. Ben Jaafar said for his part.

He estimated in the same connection, that it is necessary for Tunisia to co-ordinate efforts with Algeria to reduce regional disparities and boost the development process in the Western border areas which, he said, is inherent to the establishment of a climate of social security and stability.

The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Ali Laaryedh and Algeria's Ambassador in Tunis.
