25 December 2012

Ilorin — Former governor of Kwara State Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has urged Christians in the country to use the occasion of Christmas to find time to reflect by giving to the needy, showing generosity, perseverance, humility and sacrifice for the good of all. He also admonished Nigerians to show love to one another irrespective of religion and ethnic affiliations and "rededicate ourselves to a more respective civility."

Saraki said in a Christmas message in Ilorin yesterday that "This year, I have seen the power of a globally united community in action, I have seen youths rise in demand for equity and the zeal to defeat the obstacles that threaten our peaceful co-existence. The unwavering show of affection has been amazing and this is the overall essence of the season we celebrate."
