Minister of Communications and Information Technology Hani Mahmoud announced on Tuesday 25/12/2012 that he had tendered resignation.
In a message on his Twitter account, Mahmoud said Prime Minister Hisham Qandil accepted his resignation.
"I have tendered my resignation since more than a month, but I will continue working until a new minister is selected," the outgoing minister said.
