Angola: Foreign Minister Considers 2012 Positive Year in Diplomatic Action

Luanda — Angola's Foreign Affairs Minister, George Chicoti, on Wednesday here said that the year 2012 was positive in matters of diplomatic action, Angop has learnt.

The minister said so during the year-end greeting ceremony, which was attended by diplomats and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The official said that in the light of its tasks and duties of the institution, the political-diplomatic action of the Ministry continued to be characterised by the defence of conquest achieved in the international context, under the strategy outlined by the Angolan executive for its external politics.

The minister also said that the political diplomacy also suffered some constraints, but in a general way 2012 was a very positive year.

With regard to the co-operation between Angola and its international partners, it reached a high level, though it has to be done best to keep this level.
