Luanda — The creation of the Angolan Federation of Motorsport (FADM) and the holding of Automobile and Motorcycle "Grand Prix" on August 28 and November 11 marked the year of 2012 in the country's sport.

Elected on May 26 and sworn in on June 22, the Federation is headed by Frederico Cardoso whose priority is to work for the domestic development and internationalisation of this sport.

The institution also has as a goal to work and join the international organisations governing the motorsport.

Other actions also include the possibility to open the door to Angolan practitioners to take part on equal terms in international events, seeking solutions and creation of spaces (racetracks and other venues) for the sport in all provinces, are also part of the goals.
