Angola: Sumbe City Hosts National Volleyball Championships

Luanda — The national senior males and females volleyball championships will be played on 19-26 January 2013 in the city of Sumbe, central Kwanza Sul province.

This was informed by the Angolan Volleyball Federation (FAVB).

As part o f the opening of the 2013 volleyball season, the competition involves more than a hundred athletes in representation of the host province, Luanda, Huíla, Huambo and Bié.

Speaking to Angop, the president of FAVB, Valentim Domingos said that Sumbe district was chosen due to its location and favourable conditions.

1º de Agosto are the title holders in males category, while Petro de Luanda are the defending champions in females class.
