Angola: Police Present Ten Supposed Criminals

Sumbe — At least 10 supposed criminals were publicly presented this Wednesday in Sumbe city, central Kwanza Sul province, by the provincial police command.

The supposed criminals are being accused of their involvement in crimes of thefts, murders, rape, batteries and arson.

Speaking to the press, the spokesman of the corporation, Rodolfo Oscar Jorge said that the detention of these criminals resulted from operational actions carried out by the local police, aimed to transmit to the population the feeling of security.

The high rate of crime was recorded in the districts of Sumbe, Porto-Amboim and Kibala.

He called for the population to cooperate with the police in this aspect, so as to guarantee a good atmosphere and prevent crime.
