The head coach of Rising Star of New Jeshwang has said that he is optimistic of winning the trophy when his side lock horns with Ebotown based Lion Bi FC in the final of the eight-team tournament. The game will be played at the Ebotown Parki Jola this Sunday and is expected to attract hundreds of spectators from Ebotown and New Jeshwang.
The tournament is organised by the Ebotown Youth Development Association (EYDA) under the presidency of Alhagie Cham, former minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure. It is meant to scout players that can form a team that will represent the community in the upcoming GFA 3rd Division qualifiers. Rising Star FC outfit hammered Yombayi FC to book their place in their first ever final, while Lion Bi FC stunned Power Play FC to make it through to final.
Speaking to this reporter ahead of the final, Amat Bah widely known as 'Chart" said the Rising Star FC is fully ready for the final."I have high hope that we will win the tournament looking at our opponents in the final," he added.
