Tunis — Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali has decided to appoint Montassar Jarray as new governor of Siliana, to replace Ahmed Ezzine Mahjoubi, called for other duties, reads a statement of the Interior Ministry published on Thursday.
The northwest governorate of Siliana had recorded last November clashes between the police and local residents for social and economic claims and the replacement of the governor was one of their claims.
