Cameroon: Roger Tiga Re-elected President of Translators

Roger Tiga has been re-elected president of the Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters in Cameroon (APTIC).

This was during 13th annual General Assembly meeting of APTIC that held in Yaounde on Friday December 23, 2012. The outgoing Executive Bureau was also re-elected for another two-year mandate. Prior to his re-election, Roger Tiga presented the new head office of the association and said the association is trying to improve quality of translation and interpretation done in Cameroon as well as improve the conditions of work especially for those who are civil servants. He said the bureau intends to provide guidance for young professional translators and interpreters in Cameroon.
