Angola: Viana Prison to Gain Professional Training Centre

Luanda — The Luanda provincial director for prison services, António Correia Moço, said that the construction of a professional/technical training centre in Viana Municipality will be na asset for the inmates.

Speaking at the provincial Christmas party for prisoners, António Correia Moço said that the professional training centre will be designed to provide courses for inmates, whom, once freed, may be reintegrated in society to lead a dignifying life.

According to the official, this is a new programme that guarantees new opportunities, particularly for those inmates who do not have a professional course.

This is an unequivocal proof that rehabilitation and re-socialization of prisoners is part of the priorities of the executive.
