Angola: Construction of Paediatric Hospital to Start in 2013

Huambo — The acting governor of the central Huambo Province, Francisco Fato, announced last Wednesday that in 2013 the authorities will start the construction of the paediatric hospital, aimed at relieving the pressure on Huambo General Hospital.

Speaking at the traditional season greetings ceremony, Francisco Fato informed that the health sector is part of the priorities of Huambo government, reason why it is important the construction of an infrastructure that will specifically caters for children's health problems.

Currently, the pediatric services are provided by the Huambo General Hospital.

The acting governor also informed that in 2013 the local authorities will equally launch the works for the construction of the veterinary hospital, which will be the first of the kind in the country.
